Well hello there, my curious traveller!

Are you perhaps curious about the Quaris? Did you happen to stumble upon one by chance? Or seen someone with one and now you're interested? If you are, then you have come to the right place!

Here you will find a variety of information about the closed species. From the lore of Quaris, and their biological traits to a gallery of their artworks (still a work in progress!) and information on how you can own one!

Lore (WIP)

Since the dawn of time, Quaris have existed to guard over the four seasons (summer, winter, spring and autumn), of the worldly plane. Tasked by the goddess of the universe, named by the Quaris as Mother, these ethereal beings maintain the balance of the universe by providing their power to the seasons they oversee.

All Quaris are born from the union of two other Quaris and nurtured in a heavenly garden altogether as a community until they have come of age and are ready for their tasks. As children, there are no liquid in their hollowed wings. Quari children would then do their daily prayers to enhance their powers alongside training their body and playing with other Quari children. After they have reached an adult age, they can then choose which season they would like to be sorted into. Guardians and Archangels are tasked with bringing in the seasons and painting them however, only Cherubims (the highest order of the Quaris) are able to reign over darkness and light, otherwise known as bringing the day and night to everyday life. Quaris are all hard workers and tend to be very focused on their tasks. When their assigned season comes around, they would have to descend to earth and live there for the following 3 months to work. Some examples of their tasks would be like making the flowers bloom during spring, or turning the leaves red in autumn. Once their task for the season is over and their liquid power dissipates, they will go back to the heavenly garden and wait for the next season to come around.

While still being able to be seen physically, Quaris appear as blurry faces to humans that comes into contact with them. The memory of meeting them are then erased from the minds of the people they come in contact with after a while, unless they are continuously in contact. Thus, there are recorded cases in history of some Quaris falling in love with other worldly beings or humans.

Biology (WIP)

Wings
♡ Quaris appear as humanoids beings with hollowed inner wings made out of extremely strong glass
♡ The liquid in their wings and the ornaments inside reflect the amount of power and seasons they guard over
♡ Normally guardians and archangels have liquid that reflects their season (e.g spring and green, summer and orange, winter and blue and autumn and red) but cherubims are able to choose their coloured liquid (sometimes gradient)
♡ The ornaments in the liquid vary per Quari and they can come in all shapes and size (e.g. flowers, starfishes, seashells, autumn leaves, snowflakes, sometimes even crystallized versions of these ornaments etc)
♡ Once Quaris have chosen their season, they can manifest their ornaments in any way they choose

Irises
♡ All Quaris have glowing irises
♡ Archangels and cherubims have different irises than guardians however.
♡ Archangels have one special iris on one side while cherubims have two special irises on both eyes
♡ These special irises reflect the ornaments found in the liquid

Ears
♡ All quaris have fox-like ears with different inner ear colours of their choice
♡ Quaris love decorating their ears with ear chains, earrings and other forms of decorations
♡ However, only archangels and cherubims have ornamental designs in their inner ears (like a tattoo)
♡ To signify their power, Cherubims also have a star ringed halos around both or one of the ears

Excess Liquid Power
♡ A special trait that only archangels and cherubims own is that they often have an excess of liquid power in their bodies
♡ These can appear anywhere around their bodies such as the neck, wrist, thigh, stomach etc and then replacing that small part of the body with it
♡ Archangels will only have liquid in them while cherubims have ornaments in the liquid
